We are extremely proud of our staff, which is comprised of highly skilled dental professionals with extensive training and experience in advanced surgical implant procedures and periodontics.  Our team supports Dr. Shanelec’s commitment to providing quality patient-centered care in a comfortable environment.
 

Microsurgical Assistants

Our surgical assistants have extensive experience in microsurgical implant and esthetic periodontal procedures.  They have received intensive training in all of the microsurgical procedures that Dr. Shanelec has pioneered over the past twenty years.  They will assist you with all pre-operative and post-operative instructions, as well as any questions you may have about your treatment.
 

Dental Hygiene

Our dental hygienist, Michelle, is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable. A USC Dental Hygiene School graduate, she provides individualized home care and oral hygiene instruction, as well regular periodontal and implant maintenance therapy. She also communicates with your restorative dentist and their hygienist following your appointments to coordinate restorative recommendations and oral hygiene status. Michelle uses high magnification loops and is fully qualified in non-surgical video perioscope treatment in accordance with out office philosophy.
 

Restorative Team

Dr. Shanelec and your restorative dentist work together as a team to coordinate all aspects of your implant and esthetic periodontal treatment. The dental implant ceramic technician is an important member of that implant restorative team. Jim Smitley has extensive experience working with Dr. Shanelec's restorative team doctors on advanced dental implant restorative procedures. To insure the best possible esthetic and functional outcome, Dr. Shanelec limits his implant team to dentists experienced implant restorative dentistry.
