What are immediate dental implants?
It is important to replace natural teeth in order to preserve their surrounding bone. When teeth are lost, supporting bone melts away and disappears. This process is called bone resorption. The impact of bone resorption after tooth loss includes collapsed facial profile, lost lip support, and increased wrinkles around the mouth and nose.
Bone resorption can be prevented by immediately replacing extracted teeth with dental implants. Since bone forms a stronger bond to implants than to natural teeth, they provide an excellent foundation to support replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. Implants preserve adjacent bone as well as natural facial structures and contours.
